Ensconced in more than 1,500 acres bordering the Allegheny National Forest in northwestern Pennsylvania, The Lodge at Glendorn was built in 1929 and is designed in the style of the grand family camps of yore. The resort offers guests 16 distinct cabin and lodge accommodations; a robust list of activities for every season; award-winning culinary experiences that include fine dining, outdoor picnics and guest chefs; as well as luxury spa services at The Forest Spa. Nightly rates include accommodation and made-to-order breakfast and non-guided activities.
Unique Features: Enjoy the mesmerizing sounds of the splashing of the waves on the side of one of their Clakacraft Drift Boats as you float on the Clarion and Allegheny Rivers, both of which are classified as National Scenic Rivers. On your float, you frequently see eagles, ducks, and sometimes the elusive black bear along with a wide array of other birds and wildlife.
Accommodations: The Lodge boasts 16 distinct accommodations, most of which are set apart as standalone cabins. From private cabins with outdoor fire pits to the all-redwood Main Lodge’s convenient rooms and suites, there’s something for everyone in our luxuriously private Pennsylvania getaway. All accommodations are furnished with fine monogrammed linens, towels and Molton Brown bath products. Additional features include cable television, iron/boards, hairdryers, and cd-players.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Forest Hideout. Originally built in 1931, the idyllic and private Forest Hideout is a stone and brick cabin located at the top of one of Glendorn’s hills and surrounded by hardwood forests. The charming interior features slate floors, a wood-burning fireplace, kitchenette, and king-sized bed with private bath. There is a private outdoor terrace with a fireplace and barbeque area.
Dining: The award-winning culinary team is proud to offer you an enticing menu infused with classic French techniques, regional favorites and fresh local ingredients. The garden, located on the Glendorn resort, gives new meaning to the farm-to-table trend. The chefs tend to a wide variety of flowers, herbs and more than 60 varieties of vegetables, harvesting only the freshest organic fare for use on the various dining programs. The knowledgeable dining room staff will assist you in selecting the ideal pairing for your meal, romantic picnic or special occasion.
Activities: On more than 1,500 acres of land in scenic Northwest Pennsylvania, the activities of the luxury resort are limited only by your imagination. From fly fishing to trap shooting, leisurely walks through the woods to luxury spa services, the resort offers something for everyone. The majestic Allegheny National Forest surrounds Glendorn and offers visitors over 513,000 acres of recreational fun. It is one of Northwest Pennsylvania’s most visited national forests. It has an extensive trail system both in summer and winter. Trail highlights include Jakes Rocks, Marilla Reservoir, and Willow Bay.

Children’s Programs: No. Due to the intimate dining experience, the main Dining Room is not recommended for small children under the age of 8. Families accompanied with small children are welcome to dine in the adjoining Main Lodge Sunporch.

Explore wooded trails and paths with your pet and enjoy your cabin’s fireplace with your best friend by your side. They have 5 dog friendly accommodations (2 dogs maximum). They do not allow other kinds of pets. They dog friendly cabins include: Overlook (1 bedroom), Hideout (1 bedroom), Jill’s (2 bedroom), Clayts (5 bedroom), and Loft (4 bedroom).

Extra Info: The 1,500 acres of Glendorn is home to Fuller Brook, a crystal clear, spring-influenced freestone stream. Fuller Brook offers the Pennsylvania fly fisher nearly three miles of privately managed trout angling ranging from Native Brook trout on the Robbers Nest Branch and Jill Lake Branch to a mix of Browns, Rainbows and Brookies on the main stream.
