Nestled in one of Montana’s most pristine valleys, The Ranch at Rock Creek offers year-round unique vacations on an authentic 19th century homestead. Start the day with inspired Ranch cuisine, then learn to fly fish on a Blue Ribbon trout stream. Experience awe-inspiring views from The Top of the World on horseback and drift off in a luxurioius glamping tent under the Big Sky. The Ranch at Rock Creek stays true to their frontier roots, welcoming guests to private accommodations across the 6,600 acres.
Unique Features: As the world’s only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star guest ranch, they balance their frontier homestead roots and luxury resort comforts in all that they do. The Ranch’s luxury glamping cabins were built to fit the historical landscape. They created hybrid structures that would feel at home on a ranch homestead and enjoy inspiring views of the mountain-fed stream. In fact, the Classic Canvas Cabins, Rainbow, Apache, Gila and Bull, were named after the fish who call it home.
Accommodations: The 29 one-of-a-kind accommodations, which can host up to 125 guests during our summer season, are thoughtfully woven into the The Ranch’s landscape. Ranging in size from one-bedroom suites to five-bedroom homes, they offer four distinct styles of lodging: Granite Lodge suites, a converted Historic Barn, Luxury Homes and Canvas Cabins for glamping. The design echoes home more than hotel, with deluxe amenities, custom furniture and decor that showcases a distinctive Western heritage.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Glamping Tent Cabins. All the cabins feature gas stoves, a screened porch, a reading nook and a private deck. Each accommodation has a private bathroom in the bathhouse, accessible via a short, lighted walkway, in addition to an attached bathroom. They were designed to be easily removed and have minimal impact on the environment.
Dining: The Ranch at Rock Creek kitchen tells a story about Montana stock, wildlife, herb and harvest. With regionally and locally sourced organic ingredients, the ranch menus and dining experiences mirror Montana seasonal bounty. Preparation is equal parts mountain tradition and modern palate, often employing a wood fire grill, a Dutch oven or the full array of a state-of-the-art kitchen. All meals are included and tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences. A children’s menu is always available.
Activities: Montana is made for horses and The Ranch at Rock Creek is made for riders. Wide-open skies, sagebrush hillsides and snow-capped peaks are best experienced on horseback.
