This charming Arizona guest ranch gives you a feeling of the Old West. Only at the White Stallion Ranch can you find 3,000 acres of such wide-open land at the foot of the ruggedly beautiful Tucson Mountains adjacent to the Saguaro National Park. You will enjoy the western-style horseback riding with the wranglers, fine horses, and scores of scenic trails. This is a working cattle ranch and it’s great fun to watch the Longhorn cattle herd coming in to water.
Unique Features: The ranch offers unique specialty rides such as the ever popular Wine & Cheese Ride. This was such a hit with the Cactus Cowgirls, they decided to make it available to everyone over 21. A scenic walking ride into the desert to a special place for an assortment of wine pairings with cheese and fruit. There’s also a Beer & Cheetos ride!
Accommodations: There are 43 guest rooms and one large private Hacienda. Guest rooms are spacious and charming and situated throughout the ranch. Each room is tastefully decorated in a regional southwestern style with art and accents from nearby Mexico. The generous floor plans offer sunny, comfortable rooms with plenty of closet space. All guest rooms have air conditioning and a charming patio.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Hacienda, a lovely 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home perfect for larger families. Every guest room has a private patio with views of the cactus gardens, mountains, or corrals and many feature patio fireplaces. Generous floor plans offer sunny, comfortable rooms with plenty of closet space. Adjoining Deluxe King Twin rooms create Deluxe Family Suites.
Dining: Breakfast includes a cooked-to-order menu as well as an extensive continental buffet. The daily lunch buffet allows you to dine inside or on the patio with a selection of two entrees, several side dishes and salads, a salad and a sandwich bar. Fresh-baked cookies and fresh fruit are always available. Dinner is often a buffet with the main entrees grilled outdoors with a choice of two entrees and an ever-changing variety of side dishes. Delicious dessert options vary nightly.
Activities: Each guest is carefully matched with a specific horse for the duration of their stay, based on their experience, height, weight and riding ambitions. Activities offered go well beyond incredible horseback riding though. Rock Climbing, shooting, archery and fat tire E-Bikes are included in the Adventure Package or are available at an additional charge for stays of less than 4 nights. Guests can also enjoy basketball, tennis, volleyball, and badminton.
Spa & Fitness: The Spa has therapists who bring their own unique talents to the massage table, as well as an aesthetician/massage therapist who specializes in facials and body wraps. The sparkling, heated pool is centrally located and offers a jetted bench seat, spectacular mountain views, a shaded Ramada and plenty of comfortable lounge chairs. The Fitness Center has modern equipment, Sirius satellite music, clean surroundings and a spacious sauna.
Location: The ranch is located on the North side of the Tucson Mountains. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is located on the west flank of the Tucson Mountains. Much of the range is protected by Saguaro National Park and Tucson Mountain County Park. Old Tucson Studios are located just west of the Tucson Mountains.
Closest Airport: Tucson, Arizona (40 minutes) or Phoenix Sky Harbor, Arizona (90 minutes).
Children’s Programs: While they don’t offer any supervised children’s programs, there’s plenty for kids to do. The massive Recreation Room has Foosball, ping pong, shuffleboard, a pool table, air hockey, board games, and a 27 Seat Movie Theatre. There’s also a petting zoo, hayrides, cookouts, art classes, critter night, western line dancing, cowboy singers, campfires, western entertainers, and more!
