The Diamond D is Idaho’s premier all-inclusive guest ranch nestled in the Frank Church Wilderness and surrounded by the Salmon River Mountains. Remote enough to disconnect, close enough to break away. The ranch offers several wonderful activities, including horseback riding, fly-fishing, hiking, gold panning, swimming, and more. After an exciting day at the ranch, many guests enjoy cracking a window at night and listening to the sounds of the bubbling stream.
Unique Features: The Diamond D Ranch is situated in the largest wilderness area in the lower 48 states. The Frank Church Wilderness is approximately 2.4 million acres. Also, the ranch has a very special, custom built stone chapel. The chapel was the vision of Linda, one of the owners, and it took her 11 summers to complete. Linda is a minister and performs many weddings.
Accommodations: The Ranch has three 2-bedroom cabins (each sleep six), one large 5-bedroom cabin (sleeps ten), and two suites. In addition, there is the main lodge which includes 3 bed and breakfast style rooms with either twin or queen beds. The cabins each have a private bath, large living room and a small refrigerator for snacks and beverages. The three small cabins sit just above the creek.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Large Cabin which has 2 king bedrooms, 1 queen bedroom (a handicap accessible room), and 2 rooms each equipped with 2 twin beds. It also has a large living room and 2 private baths. All of the cabins and lodge rooms are comfortably appointed with a warm, inviting feel. Let the wilderness surround you as you relax and revive your spirit.
Dining: The ranch is proud of their fully-equipped kitchen and imaginative menus. A surprising variety of taste tempting meals are served family-style in the lodge dining room or at outdoor barbecues. From that first whiff of fresh brewed coffee, bacon and eggs, and hot cakes that almost lifts you out of your bed in the morning, to the freshly baked pies, your tummy is going to have some fond memories.
Activities: The ranch offers guided horseback riding, fishing, gold panning, horseshoe pits, volleyball, archery, target shooting, sporting clays, barbecues, campfires, swimming in the pool, or relaxing in the hot tub. A full day guided hike is offered once a week to one of many beautiful destinations, including Mystery Lake, Owens Hot springs, or Summit Ridge.
Spa & Fitness: There is no on-site spa or fitness center, but with all of the amazing outdoor activities and fresh air though, you won’t need them.
Location: The ranch is set in the midst of incomparable beauty of rugged, snowcapped mountains, forests of pine and quaking Aspen, clear blue lakes and green pastures. 40 miles north of Stanley, Idaho. Altitude: 5785 feet above sea level. The Frank Church, River of No Return Wilderness Area, is a protected wilderness area in Idaho. It was created in 1980 by the United States Congress.

Meetings: The ranch and its facilities are perfectly suited to small conferences, sales meetings, seminars, etc. They have a conference room available for such retreats. Groups from 25 to 35 persons are easily accommodated. The ranch must be reserved on an exclusive basis and minimum guarantees are required.

They have slow horses for those who like to go slow, they have fast horses for those of you who like to go fast, and they have horses that don’t like to be ridden for those of you who don’t like to ride! 🙂
