Within its 3000 acres are miles and miles of private trout stream fishing, mountain trails for hiking and horseback riding, and even historic natural hot springs.
Unique Features: This beautiful and historic resort was designed in the late 1880s as a luxury retreat to rival the leading health spas of Europe. Today, many of the original buildings remain, renovated and refreshed. To pay homage to the rich past of the area, the cottages have been given names reflecting the silver mining past of Mineral County.
Accommodations: The Ranch has four Adirondack style cottages, each with wide graceful porches and stunning views. Rooms can be arranged to accommodate families, couples, or singles in a comfortable and luxurious manner. All of the cabins are centrally located around the lodge so everything from the barn to the hot springs spa is just a short walk away.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Molly Ess Cabin, the newest of the guest cabins, this 3-bedroom cottage has a fully accessible ADA guest room, and each room has a screened-in private porch. The lovely shared front porch overlooks Pierce Creek, the great lawn, and the surrounding mountains. It is the most secluded of the cabins. This cabin is also equipped with Wi-Fi.
Dining: One of the highest considerations at the 4UR Ranch is the quality and creativity of the food prepared for the guests. The Executive Chef puts his amazing culinary skills to work in magical ways to make sure your fine dining experience, whether it’s dinner in the lodge or a luncheon picnic next to the stream, is exceptional in every way. Variety is key in the fine dining experience at the 4UR Ranch.
Activities: There’s plenty to see and do. From fly fishing private waters, hiking the scenic mountain trails, horseback riding through the Rio Grande National Forest, to relaxing with a massage after a soak in the natural hot springs. Spa & Fitness: The Little Medicine Spa offers guests yoga, massage, and a fitness room. Yoga is scheduled twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Sessions are located poolside. Since the inception of this majestic valley as a resort of healing waters and accommodations, massage has been an offering for those looking to mend their bodies. The Little Medicine hot springs are a perfect way to continue relaxing after a massage.
Location: The historic town of Creede is the county seat and the most populous community in the area. The town population was 257 at the 2020 United States Census. Creede was the last silver boom town in Colorado in the 19th century. The town leapt from a population of 600 in 1889 to more than 10,000 people in December 1891.

Children’s Programs: Yes, the 4UR is a very family friendly dude ranch, your kids will have a blast! The ranch has been welcoming families for over 140 years and even today are welcoming the grandchildren and great grandchildren of those young ones who first arrived so many years ago. There are supervised programs for kids of all ages.

Weddings: The ranch has incredible opportunities for Fall weddings. A private, elegant or casual ceremony among the golden aspens is a truly spectacular setting. Enjoy an indoor or outdoor service and/or reception for 50-60 guests. There are additional accommodations nearby.

Extra Info: With a small herd of cattle on the property mid century, a brand was registered in 1946 as 4UR, constructed from the 2 double U’s (W W’s) of the name Wagon Wheel which equaled 4 U’s. Due to a disagreement with a neighbor on the rights to the name “Wagon Wheel,” the ranch was renamed, this time after the brand, 4UR.
