You can expect a sophisticated interpretation of the traditional safari lodge, with light and bright contemporary décor. Limited walls allow a seamless flow between inside and out. Wooden walkways lead off to a spa, gym and pool, and back to the main lodge, where the deck’s connected water features give the impression of floating on the river. Whether you enjoy your time together socially or quietly, the running theme here is simple and natural luxury living.
Unique Features: Did you know: In the world, there are 5 species of rhino. Two African, black and white rhinos, and three Asian, greater one-horned, Sumatran and Javan rhinos. Three of these (black, Sumatran and Javan) are listed as ‘critically endangered’ by IUCN, there are thought to be fewer than 70 Javan and 100 Sumatran rhinos left in the wild, meaning their populations are truly under threat of extinction.
Accommodations: The lodge’s eight Luxury Rooms, six Superior Luxury Rooms and four River Suites are spaced along a path to reveal splendid river views, and make for a very personal safari stay. This is where couples, families and friends come together to reconnect with one another and Mother Nature. Each light and spacious room has a canopied king-sized bed (convertible to twin), dressing table, minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, and a full en-suite with a range of deluxe amenities.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the River Suites, each fronted by a plunge pool and set further away from the main lodge, are the most spacious and private, and also include a Family Suite. It’s for you to choose which accommodation best suits you, but the extraordinary view comes standard.
Dining: From boma feasts to safari stops, dining promises to be a highlight for all guests, with any dietary requirement, including kosher, catered for. The chefs transform local recipes into contemporary dishes, giving you a taste of Southern Africa. Excellent food and wine, shared in beautiful settings and good company, there’re few things in life more satisfying.
Activities: The private reserve conserves 10,000ha of habitat that is home to the highest and most diverse concentration of wildlife in the southern hemisphere. You can see all of Africa’s iconic species here, including all of the Big Five, along with a supporting cast of no less intriguing 137 mammal species and over 450 varieties of bird, while having minimal encounters with other people. The magic here lies in HOW you experience this extraordinary place.
