All of the Rocky Mountain accommodations offer views of Moraine Lake, the Valley of the Ten Peaks and its glaciers. As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Deluxe King Cabins which feature one king size bed, a sunken seating area surrounding a river rock wood-burning fireplace and a private balcony facing the lake and mountains. When staying in the Deluxe King Cabins, you have everything you need to make your romantic getaway feel like a royal vacation. Enjoy the private balcony with lake view and private bathroom with soothing deep soaker tub, with shower.
Dining: One of the top gourmet restaurants in Banff National Park, the Walter Wilcox Dining Room located within the lodge offers a unique, elegant menu showcasing the best cuisine from the region. Wine-lovers will delight in the impressive wine cellar, including Canadian and American vintages. Graced by a large stone fireplace and an elegant Rocky Mountain interior, views of Moraine Lake through the massive windows in the atrium provide a spectacular vista.
Activities: While staying at the lodge near Lake Louise, select from a wide range of Rocky Mountain activities including canoes, snow coaches, gondolas, river rafts and helicopters. All these activities combine both a unique adventure experience with the opportunity to learn about this distinctive World Heritage Site. Canoeing on Moraine Lake is an incredible experience that most would happily pay for. But as a guest at Moraine Lake Lodge, they happily offer it complimentary. Location: Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, 14 kilometres (8.7 mi) outside the village of Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. It is situated in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, at an elevation of approximately 1,884 metres (6,181 ft). The lake has a surface area of 50 hectares (120 acres). The lake, being glacially fed, does not reach its crest until middle to late June. When it is full, it reflects a distinctive shade of azure blue. The unique colour is due to the refraction of light off the rock flour deposited in the lake on a continual basis by surrounding glaciers.
