Unique Features: The beautiful lawn and perennial garden features a gentle waterfall, stream and brook-fed pond providing a stunning backdrop in all seasons.

Accommodations: Friends Lake Inn has four room types comprising of a total of 18 options for you to choose from. Each of the accommodations are unique in decoration and amenities. The most luxurious and spacious rooms all feature king beds, spa like bathing, fireplaces and porches/balconies to sit outside and relax. All lake rooms have gas or wood-burning fireplace, king beds, a porch, and a flat screen television. There’s also a rustic cabin you can stay in.

As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Great Lakes Room which is the favorite room among staff and guests as it is the largest room at the Inn. The King Size bed rests on a hand-crafted Adirondack bed frame in front of the large wood burning fireplace. The Great Lakes room has a separate sitting area with a flat screen television and an intimate dining area for two by the window. The spacious private bathroom has a two-person Jacuzzi tub and double steam shower. A private outdoor porch provides serene views.

Dining: The Main Dining Room provides an idealistic spot for intimate dining with a focus on exquisite farm-to-fork upscale dining without any formal dress requirements. The historic architecture including the original roof, beams and fireplace from the 1800s and candlelit tables provide a level of intimacy that is hard to find. If you are looking for a more casual dining environment, then the Birch Bistro is the perfect location. Enjoy a beverage with some lite fair while watching the game or dine with them and share a meal with friends and family in a casual setting.

Activities: If your agenda leaves time for fresh air and/or exercise, the Inn can offer you numerous choices. Miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing are right out the back door. Nordic ski rentals are available on premise. Horseback riding, whitewater rafting, golf and tennis are nearby. Guide service is available for fishing, hunting, wilderness hiking and/or mountain biking trips. Gore Mountain Ski Area is only 15 minutes away.

Spa & Fitness: There is no on-site spa or fitness center, but with all of the amazing outdoor activities and fresh air though, you won’t need them. Friends Lake Inn sits in the middle of breathtaking views of the Adirondack Mountains and lakes providing easy access for guests to experience skiing, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, photography trips or hikes through miles of trails.

Location: The inn is located in the northeastern corner of New York’s Adirondack Mountains; only thirty-five minutes from Glens Falls, less than one and a half hours from Albany, and just ten minutes from Interstate 87. In the midst of the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York overlooking a beautiful mountain lake, Friends Lake Inn is conveniently located just 30 minutes north of Lake George, 1 1/2 hours north of Albany, 3 1/2 hours north of New York City, and one hour south of Lake Placid.

Meetings: No. They do not have the facilities to host large business meetings.

Extra Info: They also have a Luxury Adirondack Cabin. A home away from home that sleeps up to 4. The cabin is the best kept secret and has a unique set of rustic features you have to explore. The cabin features a king bed, sofa Sleeper in living room, private screened in porch, with dining table for four, full kitchen, cast iron stove, and a private outdoor fire pit.
