Just inside the Montana’s Rocky Mountain Front in the scenic corridor between Yellowstone and Glacier National Park, the Triple J overlooks the beautiful Sun River Canyon and Gibson Lake. Right out your backdoor is the famous million-acre Bob Marshall Wilderness. It’s big country, unspoiled and unforgettable, the sky really is bigger in Montana!
Unique Features: The Bob Marshall Wilderness is considered the “crown jewel” of America’s wilderness system. Experience it on horseback. The ranch’s fully-guided horse pack-trips are designed to accommodate intermediate to advanced riders through this magnificent, unspoiled country where the only travel is by foot or horse. Each pack trip is unique. Guests have spacious private tents with sleeping pad, waterproof floors, and screen windows.
Accommodations: Tastefully decorated, modern log cabins are nestled privately between the aspen and the spruce trees. Each charming cabin, built from the surrounding forest, has a unique design with western decor and provides comfortable lodging for singles, couples and families. Spacious, clean cabins have private baths, bedrooms and/or loft, a sitting area, covered porch, blooming flowers and hummingbird feeders. Daily maid service is available. To preserve the quiet sanctuary and sounds of nature, cabins do not feature wireless internet, televisions or phones.
As Suite As It Gets: The cozy Cabins offer down comforters, pillow variety, mini refrigerators, coffee, tea, complimentary welcome basket, herbal toiletries, hair dryer, robes, covered porches, flowers, wood stoves (wood delivered daily) and daily housekeeping. All accommodations are equally as nice.
Dining: Meals at the Triple J Ranch are a pleasure, and much more than just food. Served in the spacious log dining room or outdoors for cook-outs, meals are also a time to get acquainted, share stories and create enduring friendships. Guests rave over the western gourmet cuisine. Wholesome and hearty home-style meals feature a fresh variety of fruit, local produce, Montana beef and other fresh meats. Home-made breads and goodies just like Grandma used to make are always on the menu.
Activities: Guests will enjoy fantastic horseback riding through pristine wilderness, high mountain tops or a day on the open prairie. Fly-fishing with instruction begins on the stocked trout pond, then move to the Sun River, or plan an all-day adventure. Guided or self guided hiking is available. Swim in the lake or soak and relax in the hot tub amongst mountain beauty.

Children’s Programs: Yes. A fantastic children’s program is available for kids ages 6-12 and allows parents a little freedom should they want it, or they can enjoy family rides and activities. Kids learn horsemanship skills, participate in arts and crafts, swim, hike, play games, fish. Teens enjoy activities with other teens or young adults. Boredom is not an issue.
Pet Friendly: No. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. Because they have so many pets of their own on the ranch, they are not able to accommodate other pets.
Weddings: No. They do not normally host weddings but they may by special request.
Meetings: Yes. The Triple J is the ideal place for small groups who want to escape to a totally different environment. Surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountain Front, the JJJ Wilderness Ranch is the perfect remote mountain get-away. This spectacular setting offers the seclusion and informality needed to get the job done.
Extra Info: The main ranch lodge is a central fun hub for most meals and social gatherings. A great place to read a book by the crackling fire or play cards with the best of em’. The door is always open and the coffee is always on! The lodge has free WiFi internet access and guest phone, laptop and printer if any business needs arise. The ranch grounds offer many places to relax and soak up the mountain setting. Guest laundry facilities are available at no extra charge. Enjoy the hot tub after a fun filled day.
