Unique Features: They have plenty of games. To enhance your stay, visit the Game Courts with tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, foursquare, and basketball. Challenge your group to a game of volleyball, pitch some horseshoes, and brush up on your skills with a game of ping-pong, foosball, or billiards in the Game Room. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the outdoor heated pool (seasonal). Ask about nearby bike trails.
Accommodations: Each lodging unit is unique. Cabins and guest houses are comfortably decorated in the spirit of the Old West and furnished with antique accents. Some have fireplaces, and the guest houses have full kitchens. Plenty of lodging configurations are available, double or single occupancy, or family style! The average total ranch maximum occupancy is 30-40.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for Mama J’s guest house! This house is a lovely four-bedroom home with two-and-a-half baths, a spacious kitchen, screened-in porch, outside deck, and a window-lined living room with an old-fashioned pot-bellied wood-burning stove. Sleeps up to ten. A guest favorite!
Dining: From down-home smoked barbecue, bountiful banquets, country baked breads and desserts, to regional cuisine, your taste buds are in for a special treat! It starts with fresh local products, prepared with care, handled safely, and served with pride. The bountiful meals feature fresh vegetables and fruits, “from scratch” specialties, and vegetarian selections. Most special diet needs can be accommodated with prior notification.
Activities: The ranch offers horseback rides through gentle terrain to extended climbing rides with ridge-top views. The 3,200 acres offer a “don’t fence me in” riding experience for all ages and abilities. Lots to do, no pressure to do it: head up Sulzer Gulch shaded by cottonwoods; explore the old wagon trails on Alexander Mountain; climb the rocky slopes of Eagle Ridge; ride across the meadows on Green Ridge; or catch the breathtaking view from the Rim Ride.
Spa & Fitness: They do not have a spa or fitness center but they can arrange for a massage in your cabin.
Location: Conveniently located in the Rocky Mountain foothills, the ranch is nestled along the banks of the beautiful Big Thompson River, just 7 miles west of Loveland, Colorado, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. A little over an hour’s drive from Denver or Boulder; 40 minutes from Greeley or Longmont, and a short drive from Loveland or Fort Collins, traveling to Sylvan Dale is a hassle-free commute.

Children’s Programs: No, they do not offer any supervised children’s programs. They do however, offer several fun on-site activities for kids and families and they can arrange for a babysitter to watch your kids for a fee.
Pet Friendly: Yes. Some cabins are pet friendly. There is a charge per dog. All dogs must be on leash when outside the cabin.

Meetings: The Heritage private meeting room is 1,815 sq ft, and features a hickory wood floor and vaulted log ceiling. Picture windows look out to beautiful gardens and across to the river and Eagle Ridge. The large stone fireplace makes even this spacious room cozy for small or large meetings. Wireless Internet is available throughout the main ranch grounds.
Extra Info: Family owned and operated since 1946, Sylvan Dale is located in the foothills west of Loveland, Colorado. Its an easy drive to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. For your safety, all rides are guided by a qualified wrangler and geared to the least experienced rider. For our day visitors, rides are at a walking pace, in a single file line.
