Located in the Deschutes National Forest, this is a complete summer and winter family resort. The rustic lodge is set on the shore of Paulina Lake, inside world-famous Newberry Caldera, a lake formed by ancient volcanic activity in the crater of Mt. Newberry. They have maintained the original atmosphere and feel of the resort even in the renovations to the cabins. Tucked away just on the edge of Paulina Lake is one of the most tranquil and relaxing hot springs in the entire northwest.
Unique Features: Boat and watercraft rentals. There is a two hour minimum on fishing boat rentals. Life jackets and one tank of gas furnished with all rentals. ALL children age 12 and under must wear the provided life jackets. Paddle Boats include: Pedal Boats, Paddle Boards, Kayaks, and Canoes.
Accommodations: The 13 cabins come ready for your adventure. Full kitchens, linens, full bathrooms and firewood are all provided to make your stay comfortable. The Snowbird is a lake front cabin that sleeps up to 10 people. Accommodates up to 10 with 2 bedrooms and a loft with 2 queen beds.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Eagle Cabin. This lakefront cabin is the most private and largest cabin at Paulina Lake. Accommodates up to 8 with 2 bedrooms and a loft with King bed, and living room with a hide-a-bed.
Dining: The Restaurant offers up delicious lunches and dinners and features favorites like the Chefs’ famous Prime Rib and homemade cobblers. This oasis of the high desert impresses travelers from all over the country. They have great trophy fish mounts that will surely spark the imagination of any skilled angler. Also awaiting inside is a full cocktail bar and friendly staff.
Activities: Summer activities include fishing, hiking, mountain biking, sight seeing and much more. In the winter, you can go snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing right from the front door of your toasty warm cabin. They have 150 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and several un-groomed cross-country trails. Deep, cool waters give us a great abundance of fish and a diversity that is sure to make any angler smile.
Spa & Fitness: There is no on-site spa or fitness center, but with all of the amazing outdoor activities and fresh air though, you won’t need them. The summit of Paulina Peak with an elevation of 7,984 feet, is the highest point on the Newberry Volcano. This site offers a grand views of Central Oregon. Explore the cascading 80 foot waterfall from many different viewpoints. Day use area conveniently located near a paved parking lot.
Location: La Pine is in the valley of the Little Deschutes River, a tributary of the Deschutes River. The river provides recreational opportunities such as fishing, swimming, canoeing and other leisure activities. The area was first settled by European-Americans in the 1800s by French fur trappers. La Pine was founded in the 19th century with Huntington Road as the main street. The original name for the community was Rosland.

Children’s Programs: No. Although they welcome your children, they do not have any supervised children’s programs.
Pet Friendly: Pets must not be left unattended and leashed at all times. Dogs are not allowed in the upstairs bedrooms.
Weddings: No. They do not normally host weddings but they may by special request.
