Located in the Canadian Rockies of BC, in the upper basin of Wildcat Creek, Mistaya Lodge is perfectly situated for alpine adventure. From the front door of the lodge, wildflower glades lead gently upward to broad alpine meadows nourished by melt-water from several surrounding glaciers. Unique Features: Surrounded by pristine peaks, glaciers, and alpine meadows, Mistaya Lodge is perfect for accessing fabulous terrain, relaxing in the glow of mountaintop sunsets, and star gazing beneath immense skies. Certified guides can plan excursions for all levels of alpine hiking, guided ski touring, snowshoeing, and mountaineering.

Accommodations: Mistaya Lodge is a solid, spacious, two-story, post and beam structure located beside an emerald green alpine lake at 6,700 feet elevation. The lodge is a bright, comfortable building which embodies the strength and charm of its backcountry location. Upstairs, six spacious guest bedrooms accommodate up to fourteen people, with a selection of single, double and bunk beds complete with towels, linen, pillows and fluffy duvets.

As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the WildCat Cabin, a helicopter access backcountry cabin that redefines peaceful seclusion. This self-catered summer retreat is fully equipped for comfort and relaxation after a long day exploring the surrounding wildflower glades, emerald green lakes and glaciated mountains. Situated in the Canadian Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, WildCat Cabin provides access to pristine alpine and sub-alpine hiking trails and routes perfect for alpine hikes, climbing, wildlife viewing, and nature photography.

Dining: Coffee is on! Join guests for a delicious 2-course breakfast prepared by in-house cooks. After breakfast, a lunch spread is put out and guests pack a lunch to take with them. Enjoy a snack as you arrive home from your chosen adventure of the day. For dinner, gather for a hearty, delectable 3-course meal and enjoy social time at the family-style table.

Activities: Nestled high in the Canadian Rockies, just outside Banff and Yoho National Parks in British Columbia, Mistaya Lodge offers idyllic helicopter access backcountry accommodation where you can enjoy backcountry powder skiing, snowshoeing, and winter mountaineering. In the summer you can enjoy alpine hiking, wilderness photography, climbing, or mountaineering. Mistaya Lodge will offer you many days of rewarding exploration.

Spa & Fitness: There is no on-site spa or fitness center, but with all of the amazing outdoor activities and fresh air though, you won’t need them. At the end of each day, refresh yourself with a sauna.

Location: Mistaya Lodge provides helicopter transport to these luxury backcountry accommodations. In both summer and winter all groups rendezvous at the Alpine Helicopters hanger at the Golden Airport. Alpine Helicopters Ltd. provides safe, spectacular and rapid travel in a Bell 407 or 212 helicopter which carries 6 to 12 passengers and their baggage from Golden to Mistaya Lodge. This transportation to and from the lodge is provided as part of each trip package. From Golden BC, helicopters take approximately 18 minutes to travel the 60 kilometers to the lodge.

This airport has domestic flights from Cranbrook, Canada and is 254 km from the center of Golden, Canada. Another major airport is Calgary International Airport (YYC / CYYC), which has international and domestic flights from Calgary, Canada and is 274 km from Golden, Canada.

Children’s Programs: No. Although they welcome your children, they do not have any supervised children’s programs.
