Unique Features: Raft down the Animas River in Durango during the summer season as a part of your packaged deal. No other ranch includes the cost of whitewater rafting in their price. The trip is great for beginners and thrill seekers alike. In addition to incredibly scenic horseback riding, fishing and hiking, guests can enjoy a trip off the ranch to Mesa Verde National Park, the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, or other points of interest.

Accommodations: Rooms range from spacious cabins for groups of friends and family to intimate two-person suites. All rooms feature Temper-pedic mattresses and aromatic diffusers with a selection of essential oils. The newly renovated luxury suites are perfect for couples or groups of one or two. These suites either have one king sized bed or two full beds and one bath.

As Suite As It Gets: Book early to reserve one of the Large Luxury Cabins, available on a first-come first-serve basis! The Wrigley and Fenway Cabins, the newest and most spacious cabins, which are offered to parties of five or more. A large living room, porch, and floor-to-ceiling windows make these cabins perfect for large parties hoping to hang out after long days of activity. These cabins feature a master bedroom with a king sized bed, a second bedroom with a queen sized bed, and additional bedding in the upstairs loft.

Dining: You’ll love the diverse menu ranging from prime rib, cooked to your liking, tasty bison chili, fresh salmon and trout, creative pasta selections to homemade desserts. You can expect fresh locally brewed coffee early in the morning, omelets, pancakes, French toast or Belgian Waffles all served to your liking. Vegetarian and vegan options vary depending on season.

Activities: Ride some of the best trails in the country or take out a bike and go for a shorter ride around the lake or the back pasture. The mountain bike guides know the area well and will work with you to find rides for your skill level. Whether you’ve been mountain biking for a long time or are just starting out, we have trails to challenge and excite you. Whether you’re an avid hiker or want to go hiking with your kids, there’s plenty of beautiful scenery to take in no matter what the difficulty level of the hike is.

Spa & Fitness: Available 24/7, the hot tub helps heal some of the sore muscles your will surely have after a day of nonstop activity. Always open to guests, the pool is a favorite for kids and adults. Don’t feel like watching your kids swim? Let one of the counselors know and they’ll make sure everyone stays safe. With a treadmill, free weights, an assisted pull-up bar, and several machines, there’s plenty to keep you fit and on your gym schedule.

Location: The Majestic Dude Ranch is located in Mancos Colorado adjacent to the pristine La Plata Mountain Range between Durango and Cortez. Mesa Verde National Park is just 12 miles away. One of the nation’s premiere parks right in our backyard. We offer free trips and guided tours. The park offers a spectacular look into the lives of the Ancestral Pueblo people who made it their home for over 700 years, from AD 600 to 1300.

Closest Airport: Durango Airport (45 minute drive, the ranch provides free transport). Cortez Airport (30 minute drive, the ranch provides free transport). The ranch is located 35 miles west of Durango, Colorado, 17 miles from Mesa Verde National Park, 25 miles northeast of Cortez, Colorado and 1 1/2 hours from Telluride.

Children’s Programs: Yes. The summer session revolves around non-stop family programming. An incredible team of counselors facilitates an action packed kids program. This allows our adult guests a stress free vacation as they have the opportunity to spend time with the whole family as well as time without the kids during parts of the schedule. Evening activities bring everyone together for movie nights, archery competitions, and karaoke.

Pet Friendly: No, unfortunately pets are not allowed.

Weddings: No. They don’t normally host weddings, although they may by special request.

Meetings: Yes. There is no better way to reward your employees for their hard work than a retreat to The Majestic! They have hosted many special retreats for small and large companies, everyone raves about the experience.
