Unique Features: Drowsy Water Ranch offers a unique zip lining experience, with three different zip line courses. Just one of our lines is the longest and highest zip line in the United States. This is our newest activity on the ranch. Replace your cowboy hat and chaps with a harness and helmet for a few hours of scenic zips and hiking across the ranch. This Colorado mountain thrill is sure to capture your excitement.
Accommodations: They offer a variety of one, two, three, and four bedroom cabins. Several are ideal for larger families and friends wanting to be near one another. With a good night’s rest and all the right amenities, you’ll be refreshed to hit the trail, join in the fun, or to even simply take in the view. You’ll love the wood paneling, the log construction, and cozy wool rugs with southwest weaving patterns.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the private cabins. The cabins are great for privacy. You can also stay in the lodge which may be more convenient for some people. The Lodge’s living room is the perfect place to gather and meet other families like your own. The door is always open and the coffee is always fresh and hot. It’s a warm and friendly spot to kick-back and enjoy playing cards, games, browsing in the library, chatting with new friends or maybe to take a little nap.
Dining: After a long day of horseback riding, penning cattle, mountain biking, hiking, rafting, golfing, or zip lining, it is one of the best feelings to sit down to a home cooked meal. That is why they not only cook dinner for you but you get home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From mouth watering steaks to breakfast with a view, eating at Drowsy Water Ranch is equivalent to eating like a king.
Activities: Each of our 100+ horses has a unique personality, just like every one of the guests. Once meeting each guest they pair them with the perfect horse for their personality and riding level. The riding program is outstanding and geared to every riding ability and any age group. When you picture vacationing at an authentic Colorado dude ranch, whitewater rafting may not be the first thing that comes to mind. But once your cruising down the white water rapids of the Colorado river you will wonder why you hadn’t booked this vacation sooner!
