Doe Bay offers a variety of accommodations on 38 acres of the most beautiful, pristine waterfront land on the San Juan Islands. Open and active year round, Doe Bay is always calmer in Fall, Winter and Spring. The historic community of Doe Bay on Orcas Island was traditionally a sanctuary for Coast Salish tribes, who held potlatches until it was settled by homesteaders in the mid-1800s. Known as an off-the-beaten-track retreat for hippie types, Doe Bay has long been a place of tolerance even before the 1960s, where people living outside the norm have created a life.
Unique Features: Doe Bay Fest is a four day grassroots festival featuring music, food, drink, camping and activities in the unique setting of the Doe Bay Resort and Retreat. Many people love Doe Bay Fest for the camaraderie, the gorgeous surroundings, and of course for the music.

Dining: You’re in for a treat when you stop in for a meal at the Doe Bay Cafe. They offer some of the finest “Seed-to-Table” dining in the region. The fact that they grow most of what they serve in the Doe Bay Organic Garden is only part of the formula. They also work with the best purveyors in the area. Everyone in the cafe is a “foodie” and they try to indulge their passion for great dining experiences to bring you the same. The team is always delighted when guests come in expecting “end of the road on an island” cafe food, only to finish their meal in awe.
Activities: They offer one of the only public beaches for launching a portable boat or kayak on the east side. They partner with Outer Island Excursions to offer exclusive deals on whale watching. Learn about the local marine environment firsthand with a guided expedition through Shearwater Kayak Tours. Small groups depart Doe Bay twice daily on a 3-hour sea kayak tour during the summer season. Don’t miss your opportunity to experience the San Juan Islands from this unique vantage point!
Spa & Fitness: Allow highly skilled massage practitioners to create an experience that is as unique as your individual needs. It is their intention to offer services that restore energy and encourage a deep sense of well-being. Doe Bay Spa features two on-site massage cabins. Immerse yourself in the stunning views from the salt water soaking tubs, take a dip at the beach or detox in the dry sauna before or after your service, bringing your mind, body and spirit into perfect harmony.
