The chalet’s setting, nestled in the tiny mountain hamlet of Le Miroir, immerses guests in the local culture and provides the perfect base to recharge after a powder day. Après in the outdoor hot tub or fireside in the rustic living room, then indulge in regional specialities like fondue and tartiflette. Chalet Pelerin puts guests in the epicenter of alpine adventure. Seven world-class ski resorts, including Tignes and Val d’Isère, are 30 minutes away or less. Ski a different resort every day, with lift tickets and transportation included in your stay.
Unique Features: If heli skiing doesn’t fit into your agenda, the Winter Experience is the perfect alternative for guests looking to find the best of winter in the Alps. This is a choose-your-own-adventure-style vacation with a multitude of activity options included in your stay. Each day, choose between seven world-class ski resorts or explore the area on cross-country skis or snowshoes.
Accommodations: Built on top of a tiny French farming village, Chalet Pelerin provides 180-degree views of the surrounding Tarentaise Valley. King guest rooms bring the outdoors in, with large windows and balconies. Rooms are named after iconic French Alpine mountains, and the rustic, yet comfortable design reflects local traditions. There’s no need to set an alarm, as church bells or cowbells signal the start of each day.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Mont Pourri which is the master suite with a private log fireplace, king bed, and local Arpin furnishings. Located on the second floor with an en suite bathroom equipped with an old-style clawfoot bath and steam shower, this is the ideal room for post-adventure R&R.
Dining: Great food and wine are engrained in French culture. Breakfast at Chalet Pelerin is a small feast featuring fine French cheeses, and farm-fresh eggs and yogurt delivered to our doorstep each morning from a neighboring farmer. Being close to the Italian border, guests might sip espresso and lunch on pasta one afternoon in Italy, and drink bubbly with polenta and diots the next afternoon in France. At dinner, the chef showcases Savoyarde dishes like pumpkin velouté with Beaufort cheese and croutons, and of course, fondue.
Activities: In addition to some of the world’s best skiing, guests can choose to just relax and soak in the stunning views. Unwind on the living room sofas next to the log fire or enjoy après with a cocktail in the hot tub. A large balcony with mountain views is the perfect spot to sip your morning cappuccino and the outdoor fire pit is a favorite gathering place after dinner. In the evenings, gather in the media room and relax with movies and board games, or snowshoe to the off-piste Alpage for a fireside cocktail and a candlelit traditional dinner.
Spa & Fitness: The wellness facilities ensure you can go hard all day and recharge at night. An outdoor hot tub with commanding mountain views helps put stressed out urbanites in instant vacation mode, while a steam room and sauna erase any aches after a day at play. If you’re looking to keep fit or simply relax, our indoor, freshwater swimming pool is treated with oxygenation and has its own counter current system.
