The Black Mountain Ranch is a full-service guest ranch and working cattle ranch located between Vail and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Your week long package includes lodging, all meals, unlimited horseback riding, an overnight pack trip, a longhorn cattle drive, whitewater rafting, fly and spin fishing, rifle and trap shooting, archery, a trip to a local rodeo and so much more! Nothing beats spending the day in the saddle! Watch the horses stampede by on their way to pasture while enjoying a drink at the saloon.

They have a fully licensed saloon stocked with cold beer and a full bar, so your evenings will never be dull (live music, dancing). The Adults Only Weeks are great for singles or couples, or grab your best friends!
Accommodations: Each lodging option includes a wood burning stove, full private bath, mini fridge, and a coffee and tea station, replenished daily. Your job is to figure out what works best for your group. For example, the Aspen Cabin features two bedrooms with two baths. One king downstairs and two twins in the loft. The living room sofa also features a twin sleeper. The minimum occupancy for Aspen Cabin is three people, the maximum is four. One of the bedrooms is a loft with no door
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Golden Eagle Cabin. Cozy up in one of the original ranch cabins! This newly remodeled cabin has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and can be split into two separate accommodations, depending on your needs: Option A) Two bedroom, one bathroom with a king bed in one room and two twin beds in the second room or Option B) Studio with a king bed and a private bathroom.
Dining: Meals vary from cookouts in the wilderness to gourmet in the lodge. The chef will tempt you with hearty breakfasts, warm cookies, refreshing lunches, tasty appetizers, and a choice of entrees at dinner along with complimentary wine at dinner. BBQ dinner at 8,200 feet just tastes better! After delicious home cooked breakfast and coffee to start the day, it’s time to meet your wrangler and head on down to the corral to get paired with your horse and take a short ride.
Activities: Starting from the moment you arrive to far after your vacation ends, a trip to this Family Run Dude Ranch is a wonderful adventure! Let yourself be treated to a week long all inclusive vacation and you kick back and relax, cowboy style! Enjoy horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and more! Spa & Fitness: There is no on-site spa or fitness center. With all of the amazing outdoor activities and fresh air though, you won’t need them. Relax with a massage in your cabin after riding or take a dip in the heated pool or in one of the ranch hot tubs.
Location: The ranch is located high in the Rockies halfway between Vail and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The ranch is situated on 1,000 private acres and is bordered by Forest Service and BLM lands in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. The ranch is 6 1/2 miles northeast of McCoy, Colorado, approximately 50 miles south of Steamboat Springs and 45 miles north of Vail.
