Accommodations: The guest rooms and suites encapsulate rustic elegance on nature’s edge. Each room at the Wickaninnish Inn found between two buildings, the Pointe Building and Beach Building, is designed to charm with its attention to detail and connection with nature. Set atop a rocky outcropping, the Pointe Building houses 42 Deluxe rooms and three Premiere rooms. Surrounded by ancient forest and facing Chesterman Beach, the Beach Building offers a variety of 18 deluxe rooms and 12 suites.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Canopy Suite which is the Inn’s ultimate accommodation. With floor-to-ceiling windows that stretch right across the room, you have a stunning panoramic view of Chesterman Beach all to yourselves. Exit the living room area with a full wet bar and fireplace onto your private balcony and enjoy the salty wind sweeping in the fragrance of the beach from below. Tofino is a small district on Vancouver Island, off Canada’s west coast. It sprawls on a peninsula within Clayoquot Sound, characterised by wild natural scenery including lakes, inlets and ancient rainforest. Sandy beaches with year-round surfing facilities include Cox Bay, Chesterman Beach and popular Long Beach, part of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.

Extra Info: For several thousand years, the Tla-o-qui-aht Nation (anglicized to Clayoquot) have lived and settled in the region, including the village of Opitsaht, across the water from Tofino on Meares Island. A nation of skilled fisherman and master carvers, the Tla-o-qui-aht were once led by Chief Wickaninnish, from whom the Inn gets its name (meaning “No one goes before him” or “He-who-no-one-sits-in-front-of-in-the-canoe,” depending).
