Unique Features: Just a one and half hour charter flight from Vancouver, British Columbia, you’ll find one of the best photography destinations amidst the pristine beauty of Pacific Coast Mountains in the Canadian wilderness. The Chilko area is a photographer’s paradise. Known for its stunning beauty and many different species of wildlife, it offers you the perfect spot to shoot to your heart’s content. While you are out looking for Grizzly Bears there are other spectacular landscape and wildlife shots to take from Eagles, Osprey, ducks, geese, Mule Deer, Black Bear and salmon.
Accommodations: The wilderness log lodge provides a warm and welcoming gathering place to enjoy good times with your fellow travelers. Situated adjacent to the Chilko River, the location of the lodge and guest cabins all take advantage of offering you beautiful views of the river, valley, and the Coast Mountains. They can accommodate 14 people in log cabins or suites at the beautiful lodge. Each unit is set up for two persons and offers private bathrooms, comfy beds with Egyptian cotton sheets and duvets, gas fireplaces or a wood burning stove.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the cabins. All cabins are equally as nice. Daily maid services keep your room clean and tidy and supplied with fresh towels everyday.
Dining: Meals are prepared fresh by the chef and served family style at the lodge. Breakfast is a blend of the Canadian hot breakfast, bacon and eggs, fresh potatoes, pancakes, as well as an assortment of fresh fruits, cereals, and yogurts. Lunch is spent streamside, on top of a mountain, or wherever your wanderings have taken you. Dinner is a special time of day. Everyone gathers for a relaxing dinner and mouth-watering meals; fresh salads, meats, breads, pastas, as well as tasty deserts. Wine is served with dinner.
Activities: They offer specific seven night packages: a seven night fly-fishing package, a seven night horseback riding lodge based package, or a seven night grizzly bear photography package. Each package is designed for intermediate to advanced people around the activity they love to do. You can enjoy the best river dry fly fishing for wild rainbow trout, horseback riding trips with great horses, fun knowledgeable guides, small groups, and some of the world’s most stunning scenery. Spa & Fitness: There is no on-site spa or fitness center, but they do have a Jacuzzi on the deck. Chilko Lake is 50 miles long and surrounded by the snowcapped peaks of the Pacific Coast Mountains. It is the highest fresh water lake in North America and offers you a wild, scenic backyard as big as it gets. It is considered to one of the most beautiful places in North America.
Location: The lodge is located 180 air miles north of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the North end of Chilko Lake, BC. Getting to Tsylos is easy. All of the Adventure Vacation Packages include transportation from Vancouver to Tsylos Park Lodge by charter aircraft. All you have to do is get to Vancouver, BC. Or if you own your own plane, they have a 3200 foot gravel strip at the north end of Chilko Lake.
Closest Airport: There are two airports in Richmond, BC. The Vancouver International airport and adjacent to it, the South Airport. The main terminal of the South Airport is called the South Terminal. The Address is: Elite Air 5360 Airport Road South.
