The ranch is located in the Canadian Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, between Banff and Glacier National Park. This special part of the world offers an abundance of nature, clean, rushing water, green fields, and breathtaking mountain views. Enjoy river rafting, shooting sports, fly fishing, hiking, ATVing, mountain biking, archery, and a full evening program.
Unique Features: Weekly breakfast rides are a Three Bars Guest Ranch favorite. Enjoy fresh blueberry pancakes cooked on an open grill out on the trail. There is just something about the morning fresh air to entice an appetite.
Accommodations: The spacious log cabins emphasize comfort and relaxation. All cabins feature cozy, hand-built log furniture with old western charm and a front porch to kick back on after a long day on the trail. All cabins are equipped with comfortable log beds with spa linens, a sitting area, kitchen amenities: small fridge and keurig coffee machines, a full, private bathroom with tub and shower, and hair dryer, and a flat screen TV with satellite.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Ranch House. This large guesthouse is a three-bedroom, two-level cabin, totaling 1600 sq. ft. The upper level has a King Suite and the lower level has two bedrooms, each with a queen-size and a twin-size bed, as well as a full, shared bathroom. This cabin has a full kitchen with oven, stove, and fridge. It features covered porches on both sides of the building, offering shade or sunshine, depending on the time of day.
Dining: Most meals are served as a buffet, with both family style and private seating available. Meals range from BBQ steak cookouts to traditional Mexican cuisine. They also offer traditional menus with an upscale flair. The in-house chef, specializes in fresh bread and homemade desserts. The day begins with your choice of a light breakfast or a meal to fill you up for the day. They provide fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, and oatmeal for those that prefer something simple. The hot breakfast menu varies from pancakes and waffles to bacon, sausages, and eggs.
Activities: While Three Bars Guest Ranch offers a variety of activities, the horseback riding program is in a class of its own. Nowhere else in the world will you find this combination of such great horses, beautiful riding terrain, and world-class horsemen with generations of experience preceding them. With 8 miles of private river access the St. Mary River provides an endless and untouched fly fishing paradise. The surrounding wilderness and valleys provide diverse terrain for riding, hiking, and mountain biking.
Spa & Fitness: There is no spa or fitness center but there is an indoor heated pool and an outdoor hot tub and Jacuzzi.
Location: Cranbrook is located on the west side of the Kootenay River at its confluence with the St. Mary’s River. It is the largest urban centre in the region known as the East Kootenay. Cranbrook is home to the Canadian Museum of Rail Travel which presents static exhibits of passenger rail cars built in the 1920s for the CPR and in the 1900s for the Spokane International Railway.
Closest Airport: The Cranbrook Airport is just 15 minutes to the Ranch. Guests usually fly directly into the Cranbrook airport. The ranch will pick up guests and transfer them, free of charge. There is no need for you to have a car rental while you are staying at the ranch.
Children’s Programs: Yes. Kids of all ages will feel right at home. Give them a cowboy hat and a pair of cowboy boots and you are well on your way to having a cowboy or cowgirl in the family. The kids riding program all starts with the horse. The very best of the horses are known as kids horses, and are assigned to the youngest cowboys and cowgirls to be their companion through the week. These horses have all been with the ranch for many years and have earned the trust to take good care of their new riders.

Weddings: No, they don’t normally host weddings, although they may by special request.
Meetings: No, unfortunately, they don’t have the facilities to handle large business meetings or conferences.
