The Goodstone Inn & Restaurant is situated on the outskirts of the charming town of Middleburg, Virginia. At Goodstone they operate an intimate farm on an expansive 265 acre estate. The farm provides the highest quality of produce for the award-winning, farm-to-table culinary program. They grow a variety of fruit, vegetables and flowers as well as tend to all the furry residences including, Greyson, the regal llama.
Unique Features: Enjoy outdoor fine dining both Poolside or in the Courtyard. Experience a world of homegrown flavors as the chef unveils his new tasting menu. For overnight guests, enjoy award winning cuisine delivered direct to your private cottage door. They will stock the fridge while you are there and also offer fresh groceries for your return home via the Goodstone Market service.
Accommodations: The inn has 18 guest rooms and suites spread across 6 historic guest cottages and houses. The cottages and houses are located throughout our 265 acre estate. Each room is individually decorated in a charming and romantic style of French and English decor. Appealing to guests who appreciate the historic ambiance of the countryside estate. Choose from The Carriage House, Dutch Cottage, Spring House, French Farm Cottage, Manor House or Bull Barn Cottage. Children over 14 are welcome.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Manor House. Take a short drive over to the Manor House and stay in the largest and one of the most historic buildings on the property. The Manor House offers numerous seating areas, a spacious living room along with a large kitchen and dining room.
Dining: Drawing inspiration from its 265 acres of rolling hillside and farmland, Goodstone Inn & Restaurant is one of the top rated restaurants in Virginia and provides guests with an unparalleled farm-to-table culinary experience. This award-winning Restaurant features the freshest of ingredients from their very own gardens as well as supporting local farms. The Bistro & Bar provides guests and locals with casual, yet classic menu selections along with designer cocktails, drafted beers and wines-by-glass. The 820 label wine cellar offers an impressive selection of wines from around the world.
Activities: Middleburg is a gorgeous settlement dating back to 1728 when a fieldstone tavern was established by a cousin of George Washington. That tavern became the Red Fox Inn, still going strong today. The historic downtown is lined with chic boutiques, raffish men’s stores and superb cafés and restaurants, while the surrounding countryside has roads lined with stacked, stone walls and horses frolicking in the fields. Tucked away on the outskirts of Loudoun County, this hospitable Virginia estate has welcomed visitors from all parts of the world for decades. Goodstone’s story began in the mid 1700s, when Jamie “the Scot” Leith bought land on the frontier of the Virginia Colony. Leith purchased 640 acres of land bordering Goose Creek for 240 pounds sterling.
