Snow Bear Chalets is a collection of three magical luxury treehouses and seven brand-new, under construction “penthouse” chalets, located ON Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort’s Hope Slope and all 100% ski-in/ski-out. With no parking lots or treacherous staircases to deal with, you can ski to Chair 3 from any of the chalets and hit the slopes in under a minute! Hope Slope is the first to open each season and a great option for night skiing on Whitefish Mountain.

Additionally, Whitefish and Glacier National Park were names on TIME Magazine’s list of the top 52 places you must see! From December to mid April, the mountain is a winter wonderland with an average snowfall of 335.″ With 3000 skiable acres, Whitefish Mountain is the 14th largest ski area in the United States.
Accommodations: There’s nothing like Snow Bear on any ski mountain in the US. Ponderosa Chalet sleeps 6 and is the highest in demand with its unparalled slopeside location. Tamarack is identical to Ponderosa and less than 30 feet from the slope. Cedar is the largest and great for groups, as it sleeps 10. The seven chalets feature three 3-bedroom and four 2-bedroom chalets, ranging from six to nine guest occupancy. Each Snow Bear Chalet is available for a 3 night minimum, depending upon the season.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Cedar Treehouse. This beautiful luxury vacation rental chalet with breathtaking mountain and wooded views sleeps up to 10 and has 1450 sq. ft. of living space, plus a large treetop deck with outdoor dining and private hot tub. Cedar is 100% ski-in AND ski-out, located less than 50′ from Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort’s Hope Slope. You can ski to Chair #3 in less than 60 seconds!
Dining: All cabins have kitchens. Snow Bear Chalets is located just a few minute’s walk from The Village at Whitefish Mountain Resort. There are several restaurants and bars, as well as a small convenience store and a few ski/clothing shops. Thank goodness for the amazing restaurant and cafe scene in downtown Whitefish! If you’ve got an adventure packed day, start your day out right by hitting one of several coffee shops or a cafe to fuel up for the day ahead.
Activities: Whitefish is a popular ski and outdoor town with enormous Rocky Mountain appeal. Popular recreational activities often associated with this gem of the northwest include skiing and snowboarding, backpacking and hiking, and a plethora of water activities on Whitefish Lake. Whitefish is also a gateway community for Glacier National Park, where visitors are a 25-mile drive to the West Entrance. Whitefish is also a jumping-off point for the expansive Flathead National Forest and Flathead Lake.

Location: Whitefish is a resort town in the Rocky Mountains of northwest Montana. It’s a gateway to the jagged peaks, lakes and glacier-carved valleys of Glacier National Park. Ski and mountain-bike trails wind downhill at Whitefish Mountain Resort, just outside town. On Whitefish Lake, sandy City Beach and Whitefish Lake State Park have boat launches and picnic areas. Downtown, shops and eateries line Central Avenue.
Closest Airport: The most convenient airport to Whitefish and Glacier National Park is the Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) located in Kalispell, MT. The airport is 30 miles from the West Entrance of Glacier National Park and 12 miles from the town of Whitefish.
Children’s Programs: Although they welcome your children, they do not have any supervised children’s programs.
Pet Friendly: No. Pets are not allowed in the cabins.
Weddings: No, they don’t normally host weddings, although they may by special request.
Meetings: No, unfortunately, they don’t have the facilities to handle large business meetings or conferences.
