Rimrock Dude Ranch, is located in Northwest Wyoming, west of the town of Cody. It is a second-generation, family-owned and operated ranch. The ranch was built in 1926 on the banks of Canyon Creek, with spectacular views overlooking the Wapiti Valley. A week at the ranch is full of energy and fun, including horseback riding, white water rafting trip, a nightly rodeo, and an all day tour of Yellowstone National Park. They cater to novice as well as experienced riders. A fine selection of horses ensures that there will be a horse suitable to your riding skills.
Unique Features: If you want to see an authentic Wyoming rodeo, Cody, the self-proclaimed “Rodeo Capital of the World” offers a sure thing. Nightly, cowboys compete; riding broncos and bulls, barrel racing, and team roping. There is even a calf scramble for the kids. If fly fishing is your passion, you’ll find it close to the ranch. The Northfork of the Shoshone River offers great fly fishing opportunities.
Accommodations: The Ranch offers a nice variety of cabins. There are smaller cabins for singles and couples and larger cabins for families of 3 to 10. All cabins include private baths and porches, and are situated on the banks of Canyon Creek. There are small refrigerators in all the cabins. They also have complimentary laundry facilities.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the cabins. All cabins are equally as nice.
Dining: Hearty meals are served family style in the ranch dining room and they have several barbeques during the week.
Activities: The horseback riding explores the incredible scenic valleys, mountains and streams the Shoshone National Forest has to offer. Whitewater rafting is an exhilarating adventure for the whole family. The Shoshone River offers exciting rapids and magnificent views and a unforgettable experience. Yellowstone Park is famous for its abundant and varied wildlife. Some of the most beautiful and captivating creatures make their homes in the Park. Yellowstone animals include buffalo, elk, bear, big horn sheep, coyotes, and wolves.
Spa & Fitness: There is no spa or fitness center. But guests can enjoy the heated swimming pool and hot tub.
Location: The Ranch is located only 26 miles from the East Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, on the border of the Shoshone National Forest and nestled on Canyon Creek in the middle of the Absaroka Range of the Rocky Mountains, and 24 miles from Cody, Wyoming.
Closest Airport: Cody, Wyoming is 24 miles away and is served by United Airlines connecting through Denver and Delta Airlines connecting through Salt Lake City. There is also a non-stop United flight from Chicago to Cody. Transfers to and from Cody are available at no extra cost.
Children’s Programs: No. Although they welcome your children, they do not have any supervised children’s programs.
Pet Friendly: No. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Weddings: No. They do not normally host weddings but they may by special request.

Extra Info: The Buffalo Bill Museum at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, presents an interesting and authentic look at the life and times of William F. Cody. It contains displays of his early scouting, family life and, of course, the famous Wild West Show. The Old Trail Town collection now consists of 26 buildings, which date from 1879 to 1901, one hundred horse-drawn vehicles, plus an extensive collection of Native American artifacts and memorabilia of the Wyoming frontier.
