Centered between the famous pyramids of Teotihuacan and the lively metropolis of Mexico City, Rancho Las Cascadas is a place like no other for your next horseback riding vacation. At the ranch they offer over 30 open range riding trails. Majestic mountains, open fields, peaceful lake waters, and lush vistas await. Each guest arrives with a dream, from gaining the basic principles of horseback riding to galloping across open, wide ranges and lakeside paths. The wranglers will help each guest to build their confidence and push to new limits.
Unique Features: The ranch is bordered by three waterfalls, thus the name: Las Cascadas. Outside, overlooking the waterfalls is the sun terrace, decked with loungers, surrounding a hot tub, the perfect place to unwind. Or cool off in the solar heated infinity pool!
Accommodations: The ranch is made up of several buildings, all in Mexican style, set in beautifully tended gardens. The guest rooms are individually decorated in typical Mexican country style. Much attention is given to the finer details creating a seamless combination of comfort and style. The facilities at the ranch include a lounge and library, a conservatory with guest computer, and a well-stocked bar.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Casitas. The two stand-alone Casitas comfortably sleep up to 5 people each. Both feature a spacious L-shaped room, an en-suite bathroom, and a private terrace. Situated on the south side of the Main House, the Casitas look out over cactus gardens. Or choose the Luxury Suite which comfortably sleeps 4 people with space for an extra single bed. Located in the Pueblito, the suite has a magnificent view of the horse pasture.
Dining: Style, elegance and high expectations are combined with the finest local ingredients to create authentic Mexican cuisine. A rich and varied breakfast awaits you each morning on the veranda overlooking the infinity pool and valley. Lunch is served under the big oak tree or as a picnic when riding. A gourmet four-course dinner with wine is served each evening in the stylish, rustically designed dining room.
Activities: On the calm and trust-worthy horses, beginner and novice riders will bypass farmers plowing with oxen, free-grazing cattle, goats and sheep. See egrets and ducks roosting on tranquil lakes as the horses splash along the water’s edge and cross flowing rivers with tumbling waterfalls. Confident and willing riders will not be disappointed with these horses and the amount of freedom to canter and gallop. Unlike many other dude ranches, the surrounding land is perfect for those who love a fast pace.
Spa & Fitness: Revive at the spa. Enjoy relaxing massages and facials. It is not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself and to make your happiness a priority.
