Nestled south of Montana’s Glacier National Park, on the edge of over 1 Million acres of the Bob Marshall Wilderness, you will find Deep Canyon Guest Ranch. A private and historic Montana dude ranch, this hidden treasure is your entry into the endless beauty of the spectacular Rocky Mountain Front. Enjoy high caliber, home-style meals in the authentic Deep Canyon lodge dating back to 1928, and become a part of the quiet, authentic West before it was commercialized.
Unique Features: Be sure to check out the nearby Two Medicine Dinosaur Center in Bynum, Montana. See the first baby dinosaur bones found in North America, the Guinness Book of World Records largest, scientifically accurate dinosaur reconstruction-Seismosaurus halli, and other spectacular dinosaur-related displays. Digs can be arranged for a separate fee.
Accommodations: The Ranch can accommodate up to 16 guests between three duplex cabins with private bathrooms, and the Guest House with three private rooms and two bathrooms. Follow the footpath to your comfortable log cabin, nestled in the aspen, fir, and pines and enjoy a porch view of Ear Mountain before settling in for the night. The three, rustic and welcoming duplex cabins feature private baths, daily housekeeping and porches perfect for visiting or star gazing. Each duplex unit contains one queen bed and one twin bed. Mini refrigerators, hair dryers and coffee makers are in each room.
As Suite As It Gets: When money is no object, go for the Joe White House which is complete with three bedrooms and a full kitchen and central living room, complete with gas fireplace. One bedroom has two queen beds with private bath that includes a Jacuzzi tub. The other two rooms have respectively, two twin beds and a queen bed. They share a bathroom with tub/shower. The Guest House has its own deck that has a breathtaking view of the Teton River Valley and Ear Mountain. This house is perfect for larger family and/or friends. The Guest House sleeps up to eight guests.
Dining: For breakfast, expect the best bacon you have ever eaten, the ranch favorites are baked oatmeal and homemade granola, then get ready for pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and even eggs benedict. Lunches are often eaten on the trail overlooking spectacular scenery while horses graze. On such days, guests take a sack lunch which consists of a sandwich on homemade bread, fresh fruit, homemade cookies, chips, and chopped vegetables. Dinner is the time to gather again and recount the memories made that day. Gathered around a common table, they serve up local, grass-fed beef, BBQ Ribs, a delicious pork roast, chicken or perhaps salmon.
Activities: If you have a passion for land and horses, you have come to the right place. They offer unlimited riding in an amazing environment. Each day you’ll ride to a new vista as you explore the many trails, meadows, canyons, coulees and mountains. The North Fork of the Teton River flows through the Teton Canyon and is but a stone’s throw and a short walk from the Ranch. Try your hand at catching native cutthroat in these clear, pristine waters. The Rocky Mountain Front is a hiker’s paradise. Whether you desire high vistas or riverside trails, your every need can be met.
Spa & Fitness: There is no on-site spa or fitness center, but with all of the amazing outdoor activities and fresh air though, you won’t need them. The Ranch is surrounded by trails accessing unique opportunities to spot wildlife that inhabit this area such as mule deer, mountain goat, elk, moose, and an occasional bear. Take a hike through an alpine meadow and breathe in a patchwork of colors created by our endless wildflowers and rich foliage.
Location: Only 90 miles from the ranch, Glacier is a must for any visitor to Big Sky Country. It can be toured in a day and one can enjoy the feast of alpine lakes, sheer drop cliffs and panoramic vistas. The drive along the Going-To-The-Sun Road over Logan Pass alone is an experience one never forgets. Wildlife abounds within the park borders and the mountains, lakes, and historic lodge should be on everyone’s bucket list to experience.

Deep Canyon Guest Ranch does not sell alcohol, but guests are welcome to bring their favorite beverage. The dining room hosts a beautiful stone water fountain that trickles in the background as the sound of laughter and the day’s adventures are shared at the table. Windows line every wall to give guests a view of the mountains and horses at mealtime.
